Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Management Studies & Research (VESIM) takes pride in its governing council comprising distinguished academicians, alumni, and industry experts. The academic governance of the Institute lies with the Governing Council.
The Governing Council deals with all the academic, administrative, finance and infrastructure related matters. It works with the sole aim of helping the Institute deliver the quality education that meets expectations of stakeholders, as well as the requirements of recruiters - both today and in the future. In order to meet this aim, the governing council regularly interacts with students, parents, alumni, as well as academic experts to understand their expectations, and suggest changes to them. These interactions help council members to advise the management on various fundamental academic issues regarding the course alternations needed, transformative pedagogic methodologies to be adopted, and development of the various study programs.
The Governing Council meets twice in a year (every six months) to monitor the progress of academic goals set by the Institute in an effort to become the best management school in Mumbai. These are structured period review meetings, which involves faculty members, the Governing Council, and distinguished academic experts. During these meetings, the Governing Council also ensures that the institute is acting in compliance with rules, regulations, norms, and the procedures laid down by the regulatory bodies.
